Educational Qualification (Essential)
Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks
OR Master’s Degree in the same subject with 50% marks
OR 4-year integrated B.El.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed. course from an NCTE-recognized institution.B.Ed. or three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. degree from a recognized university.
Pass in CTET (Paper-II) conducted by CBSE.

Section A (100 marks): General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics/Numerical Ability, English Language & Comprehension, Hindi Language & Comprehension.
Section B (100 marks): Subject-specific questions (concerned teaching subject) and teaching methodology/B.Ed. topics.
4. Is there negative marking in the exam?
Answer: Yes. Each incorrect answer attracts a penalty of 0.25 marks (i.e., minus 0.25 for every wrong MCQ).
5. What is the in-hand salary of a DSSSB TGT?
Answer: TGTs are placed at Pay Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400). After basic pay and typical allowances (DA, HRA, TA), approximate in-hand salary at joining is often reported in the range of ₹65,000–₹75,000 per month (actual take-home varies by city, allowances and deductions).
6. What is the age limit for the DSSSB TGT post?
Answer: The general age cap is below 32 years. Reserved category relaxations apply as per government rules (for example: SC/ST: +5 years, OBC (Delhi): +3 years, PwBD: +10 years, etc.).
7. When will DSSSB announce TGT vacancies for 2025?
Answer: DSSSB vacancy notifications are released periodically. There’s no fixed public schedule — candidates should regularly check the official DSSSB website for updates and new advertisements.
8. Are candidates outside Delhi eligible to apply?
Answer: Yes. Candidates from any state can apply. However, reservation benefits (OBC/SC/ST etc.) will be applicable only if the candidate holds the relevant certificate issued by the competent Delhi authority (or as specified in the notification).
9. What is the selection process for DSSSB TGT?
Answer: Selection is primarily based on marks obtained in the one-tier written examination (CBT). There is no interview; shortlisted candidates who meet the cut-off are called for document verification and other formalities.
